Job Description:

Provides 24/7 on-call support for providers and extenders, traveling nationally to support major implementations as needed.

Communicates changes to applications in line with agreed SOPs and work instructions, documenting and articulating technical specifications.
Serves as a resource and role model in the use of clinical information systems, maintaining thorough knowledge of the computer system and various applications.

Rounds with providers during care delivery to assess functionality, impact workflow, analyze user needs, and document requests.

Analyzes requirements to propose effective solutions and identifies opportunities for improvement or automation.

Researches, validates, and logs provider EMR enhancement requests, discussing recommended solutions with provider and operational teams.

Conducts multiple annual IT outreach touchpoints with medical staff, sharing application tips to improve workflow efficiency and guiding best practices.

Assists customers with the customization of the application using tools within the electronic health record foundation.

Provides education on new applications or functionality, conducting provider orientations, train-the-trainer sessions, and other training as needed.

Assists with executing change management strategies to enable smooth implementation of new application changes and enhancements.

Provides go-live support and post-go-live optimization at local sites and other facilities, ready to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

Develops, implements, maintains, and optimizes health information technology training materials for various medical staff, conducting classroom training and orienting new providers.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced clinical knowledge of current healthcare practice and Provider workflow (CPOE and documentation) with conceptual and practical understanding of various training techniques for users with various learning styles [Required]
Industry experience with electronic medical records [Required]
Expert conflict management skills [Required]
Communication skills both written and oral, are professional and follow defined escalation process [Required]
Is accountable for realization of goals and defined metrics [Required]
Methodically analyzes and evaluates business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives, and making timely decisions [Required]
Understands own strengths and development needs, learns from experience, and owns personal and professional development [Required]

in respiratory therapy or other allied health related field

Work Experience:
5 total between clinical and informatics experience [Required]
Experience supporting applications used by providers [Preferred]
Recent experience with health information technology [Required]
