Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing materials for production to ensure timely availability and prevent shortages or overstocking. Core duties include:

  • Monitoring production schedules and inventory levels to align material supply with demand.

  • Coordinating with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

  • Forecasting future material requirements based on production plans and customer demand.

  • Maintaining accurate records in ERP or material management systems such as SAP.

  • Performing data analysis to identify potential shortages, optimize inventory, and improve supply chain efficiency.

  • Collaborating with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Managing inter-warehouse transfers and validating inventory accuracy.

  • Negotiating with suppliers and monitoring costs to maintain budget efficiency.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or industrial engineering is preferred.

Experience: 4 years in material planning, inventory management, procurement, or related roles.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, effective communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Knowledge: Understanding of material requirement planning (MRP), Lean Six Sigma principles, and manufacturing processes.

SAP experience is greatly preferred

Additional Information

For Longmont, the expected salary for this position is $ 62,400 Annual Salary In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit- sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
