Overview

Serves in a Lead/Supervisory capacity in a Community Corrections treatment services program within Community Justice Alternatives for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This role is part of our trauma-informed residential treatment services programs. This position will supervise certified addiction technicians and/or certified addictions specialists, or master’s-level mental health practitioners, and may co-supervise bachelor’s-level case managers. This position performs administrative supervision, individual and group therapy, case management, life skills training, crisis intervention, and auditing. The person in this role may provide clinical supervision when appropriate.

The current vacancy is in the Men's IRT program. The schedule will be Sunday-Thursday with general working hours between 8 am-5 pm.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Clinical assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning for assigned caseload.
  • Facilitation/teaching of treatment groups to clients.
  • Crisis intervention and supporting the treatment team in navigating challenges as they arise.
  • Documenting client contact, development, and Implementation of transition/continuing care.
  • Facilitating program staff meetings.
  • Supervising staff.
  • Auditing of clinical documentation.
  • Managing program calendar, navigating coverage needs, and coordinating staff schedules.

What we're looking for:
  • Experience providing services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system who struggle with a variety of complex needs, behavioral health, and substance use issues.
  • Ability to effectively navigate mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice systems.
  • Understanding of substance use disorders and mental health disorders.
  • Understanding of the methods, practices, and interventions associated with criminogenic risks and needs, mental illness, and substance use disorders.
  • Ability to work with both male and female offender populations.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed intervention and care.
  • Knowledge and skills in clinical supervision of Bachelor's and Master's level staff.
  • Willingness to be available and engaged with staff based on program schedule and staff needs.
  • Serve in an integral leadership function in a multi-disciplinary setting.

  • Master's degree in a license eligible behavioral health field as defined by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required.
  • One year experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment, preferably in criminal justice or related area, required.
  • Possession of Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS) within 2 years of hire required.
  • Possession of a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist within 2 years of hire required.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire, required.
  • Possession of Adult First Aid, AED and CPR certifications within 6 months of hire required.
