We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with relevant experience to join our team. The primary focus will be supporting the Space SAP environment to ensure accurate month-end accounting and to address segregation-of-duties (SoD) risks within the SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tool.
The ideal candidate continuously seeks process improvements, strengthens system and procedural controls, delivers value-add analyses, and is ready to assist with additional accounting functions as needed. You should be comfortable diving deep into SAP and GRC to uncover issues, develop solutions, collaborate effectively with teammates, adapt to a dynamic environment, prioritize work on the fly, and maintain a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Month-end Overhead Allocations – Perform and validate overhead allocations each month.
SAP Master-Data Maintenance – Keep cost-allocation data accurate and aligned with the Space disclosure statement.
SoD Access Risk Management – Monitor and remediate segregation-of-duties risks in SAP GRC.
Customer Collaboration – Work with internal stakeholders to resolve problems and design technical solutions.
Compliance & Controls – Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal policies; document controls and support both internal and external audits.
Process Improvement – Identify automation and workflow enhancements; lead initiatives that boost efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Team Development – Mentor junior accountants and provide on-the-job training.
Reports in office once per week in Highlands Ranch, CO - Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Knowledge of government contract accounting
- Prior experience with SAP (or other ERP systems)
- Knowledge of internal controls, risk management practices, and basic SOX compliance
- Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to take direction while also working independently
- 3 years of related accounting experiences
- Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficient in Excel - Bachelors or higher level degree with relevant work experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
- High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to work with a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
