The Quality Intern supports the Quality Management System (QMS) by assisting with requirements management, calibration program support, data input and validation, analytics, and audit preparation. This role provides hands-on experience working with enterprise systems (e.g., DOORS Next Generation, asset/calibration databases, and Microsoft 365 tools) while contributing to compliance with ISO standards and DOE requirements.
Responsibilities:
Requirements & Systems Support (DOORS Next Generation)
- Assist in organizing, updating, and maintaining requirements within DOORS Next Generation
- Support data entry, tagging, and traceability of requirements to processes and procedures
- Perform structured data input for requirement attributes, relationships, and metadata
- Conduct quality checks to ensure completeness and consistency of requirement records
Calibration & Asset Inventory Support
- Support maintenance of the calibration and measuring & test equipment (M&TE) inventory
- Perform data entry and updates for asset records, calibration status, and equipment history
- Assist in tracking calibration schedules and identifying overdue or missing records
- Validate data accuracy between systems and physical inventory
Data Input, Management & Analytics
- Perform high-volume, structured data input across quality systems (DOORS, calibration systems, audit trackers, etc.)
- Clean, organize, and standardize datasets for reporting and analysis
- Support development of dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Conduct basic trend analysis for:
- Nonconformances
- Corrective actions
- Audit findings
- Assist in maintaining data integrity, traceability, and version control
ISO Audit Preparation Support
- Assist in preparation for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 17025 audits
- Support data compilation and document population for audit evidence packages
- Perform document reviews for completeness, formatting, and control compliance
- Help track audit actions, findings, and corrective actions
General Quality Program Support
- Assist with document control and records management activities
- Support process improvement initiatives and quality projects
- Participate in internal assessments and effectiveness reviews as needed

Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited institution.
Post Undergraduate: Earned a bachelor’s degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.

- Engineering
- Data Analytics
- Information Systems
- Quality Management
- Or related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with structured data
- Ability to follow defined processes and maintain data accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI)
Experience with data input, data cleansing, or database management
Familiarity with quality systems, ISO standards, or auditing concepts
Experience working with structured systems (e.g., requirements tools, asset databases)
