Elwood Staffing has an immediate opening for a Machinist at a local manufacturing facility in Fort Collins, CO.

Machinist II Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $30.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday)
  • Ability to setup, run and program various machines, power and hand tools and equipment to make the parts
  • Prepare material to be used in machines
  • Read and sometimes decipher company drawings
  • Machining/Fabrication/Engineering of specialty parts required for ion sources
  • Ability to program a machine to make parts to specifications
  • Grit/Bead Blast parts as required
  • Saw material as required
  • Dish grids/ mill blanks heat and form
  • De-burr and clean all parts
  • Inspect parts with various tools
  • Maintain all tooling related to the machine
  • Forecast future jobs/material and tooling etc.
  • Forklift operation
  • Material handling &- unload truck

Machinist II Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, manual mills and lathes
  • 3 years experience setting up and operating machines
  • Mechanical/technical ability with 3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of MasterCam software or similar product
  • Knowledge of CNC machines and various hand tools
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
