Job Summary:
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for an affiliate faculty for in-person teaching of PSY 358 Lifespan Development. Lifespan Development covers the biological, psychological, and social factors in human development from conception to later adulthood.The course will be taught in the Fall 2026 semester and will run from August 24 – December 13. The class meets in-person on Tuesdays from 8:00-10:40am.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, with Department course coordination policies.
Keep complete and accurate grade records.
Evaluate student performance.
Maintain regular office hours to provide students with academic support appropriate for the teaching assignment 1 hour per week
Faculty will participate in designing their own course in consultation with the chair of the department.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience and expertise in developmental psychology.

This position is benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
