Job Description:

Conducts multiple annual touch points with medical staff members, shares application tips with providers to improve workflow efficiency, and guides best practices. Assists with executing change management strategy to enable smooth implementation of new application changes and enhancements. Provides 24/7 on-call support for providers and extenders, with readiness to travel nationally for major implementations. Other duties as assigned. Serves as a senior member of the Physician Informatics Team and a facility resource person and role model in the use of clinical information systems. Maintains thorough knowledge of the computer system and leads in creating departmental solutions and cultural improvements. Promotes a positive attitude to change and effectively communicates why change is necessary. Provides didactic training, mentors new Advocate orientees, and provides feedback to the orientation coordinator on orientee progress. Collaborates on professional development plans with the orientees reporting manager and assesses readiness for independent work. Takes a senior role in Physician Informatics projects for assigned clinical areas, including evaluation of requests, analysis of information, presentation to pertinent groups, and education. Provides consultation in the areas of redesign and evaluating clinical processes, identifies and acts upon opportunities for improvement, and summarizes objectives and strategic directions for the workgroup. Rounds with providers during care delivery to assess functionality, impact to workflow, analyze user needs, and document requests. Researches, validates, and logs provider EMR enhancement requests, discusses recommended solutions with provider and operational teams, and obtains operational design approval.

5 total between clinical and informatics experience [Required]

Experience in troubleshooting software issues to resolution [Preferred]
Experience supporting applications used by providers [Preferred]
Recent experience with health information technology [Required]
