Job Description

A rapidly growing, nationally recognized mechanical contractor is actively hiring Traveling Quality Inspectors to support large-scale industrial and mission-critical projects across the U.S.

If you have a strong field background and take pride in ensuring top-tier quality on complex builds—this is a high-impact role with long-term opportunity.

What You’ll Do:
& Oversee QA/QC processes on major mechanical construction projects
& Perform field inspections across HVAC, piping, plumbing, and sheet metal systems
& Ensure installations meet project specifications, codes, and quality standards
& Lead pre-installation meetings and coordinate with field teams and subcontractors
& Document inspections, track deficiencies, and drive corrective actions

Location & Travel:
& Nationwide travel required
& Can be based anywhere in the U.S.
& Must be open to relocating to active project sites

Schedule:
& 10-hour days
& 6 days per week (Sundays off)
& Rotational travel schedule — home every couple of weeks

What We’re Looking For:
& Experience on industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical projects
& Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing, sheet metal)
& Background in QA/QC, inspections, or field supervision
& Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
& Certifications such as CWI, VT Level II, API are a plus

Compensation & Perks:
& $100,000 &- $120,000 base salary
& Per diem provided
