Ready to grow your career Empire Today is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our hardworking National Warehouse Operations team. The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations and performance of a Distribution Center, including managing/supporting all warehouse staff.

Compensation Information:
$110,000 annually plus bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the support, guidance, and performance management of all hourly and salaried warehouse staff, including recruiting, hiring, and training of new warehouse employees.
  • Ensure safety is a top priority among staff and that all required safety audits and inspections are performed.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor during all hours of operation.
  • Create and implement written staffing/labor plans to balance service levels and costs.
  • Ensure key warehouse tasks are completed on time, including loadout, cycle counts, inventory control, order picking, etc.
  • Monitor critical metrics using a variety of dashboards, and create actions plans as needed.
  • Provide a financial plan based on defined financial metrics.
  • Improve warehouse performance efficiency through continual assessments and observations.
  • Write/implement annual operating plans focused on performance improvement and growth.
  • Conduct ongoing forecasts of operational/financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years’ warehouse, supply chain, logistics, distribution, or other related management.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate warehouse machinery.
  • Preferred background includes:
    • Significant budget accountability, hire/fire authority, and faculties oversight
    • 3 years as the location manager of a facility with comparable staffing
    • 3 years as a manager of managers
  • Proven track record in leadership, prioritization, and follow-up in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver operational, service level, and financial targets over a multi-year period.
  • Proficient computer skills with fluency in MS Office and WMS/Reporting systems.
