Seasonal – Human Resources Administrative Support
In this position, you will provide administrative support in the Human Resources Division of the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. This role focuses on transactional HR support and customer service and is best suited for candidates who enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work.
This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association).
This position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year, and any furloughs subsequently approved.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (in office presence required)
Work Location: Fire Department Complex, 375 Printers Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80910
Duration of seasonal position: 6 monthsThe HR Administrative Support position will:
- Provide internal and external customer support by greeting and assisting internal customers, and responding to phone calls and e-mail correspondence
- Provide administrative level support to the Senior Analyst and HR Manager
- Perform data entry
- Explain HR policies, processes, and benefits to employees while ensuring compliance
- Perform administrative tasks such as document intake and ID badge issuance and clearances
- Support team operations and perform other duties as assigned

- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of full-time, professional experience in human resources, administrative or a customer service role
