Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an International Trade Compliance Analyst – Level 2 or 3 to join our team. This position will be located in one of the following locations: Boulder CO; Colorado Springs CO; Redondo Beach CA; San Diego CA; McLean VA; Dulles VA; or, Linthicum MD.

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or 3.

In this job, you will:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive internal export controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities.
  • Establish business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
  • Establish operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.
  • Conduct contract and proposal reviews and provides appropriate guidance and licensing strategy.
  • Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
  • Participate in cross-functional and/or cross sector working groups and projects as assigned.
  • Provide training as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant professional experience in export compliance – OR – Master’s degree with 1 years of relevant professional experience in export compliance.
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant professional experience in export compliance – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant professional experience in export compliance.
  • Will consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other US Government Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the use of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions.
  • Experience in Commodity Jurisdiction and Classification analysis.
  • Proficient in the use of the OCR EASE software.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $113,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
