Work Schedule: Various shifts &- 1st shift - 6:00 am to 2:45 pm; 2nd shift - 2:45 pm &- 11:00 pm; 3rd shift - 11:00 pm to 6:00 am.

JOB SUMMARY:
- Maintains a visible presence to deter criminal, prohibited, or suspicious activity in both public and restricted areas, including main and auxiliary buildings, grounds, parking lots, stairwells, and other assigned areas.
- Responds promptly and effectively to both emergency and non-emergency situations, including working in high-activity environments involving trespassing, drug activity, or similar issues.
- Provides verbal crisis intervention by quickly assessing situations, establishing rapport, recognizing emotional or cognitive limitations, and offering appropriate support or direction.
- Performs physical intervention during crisis situations when necessary and authorized.
- Escorts individuals and assists client personnel as required.
- Remains consistently alert and vigilant to conditions or activities that may result in personal injury, property damage, or loss.
- Prepares accurate, clear, and legible incident and activity reports.
- Maintains positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, client staff, and other vendors.
- Demonstrates functional knowledge of the assigned facility and, when applicable, multiple facilities.
- Enforces and complies with all client policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Performs additional duties as directed by Security leadership or other authorized personnel.
- Completes other related tasks as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred qualifications include a college degree in criminal justice or a related security field, graduation from a police academy, or relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

Military Police

Law Enforcement

Experience & Certifications

Prior experience working with the public in a service-oriented environment is preferred.

Valid Guard Card(s) in the Denver area are preferred.

Basic Officer, Advanced Officer, and Supervisor Certifications are preferred or must be obtained within one year of assignment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain all required jurisdictional security licenses, certifications, and any client- or contract-specific credentials.
-
Must successfully complete all required training and competency assessments within designated timeframes, including but not limited to team training, basic firearms and TASER training, and new employee orientation covering client security policies and procedures.

Must successfully pass a psychological screening conducted by a licensed psychologist, in accordance with compliance requirements.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, sit, observe, and drive for extended periods, including in various weather conditions.

Ability to run, climb stairs, carry emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, restrain or assist individuals, and safely lift or move up to 80 pounds on occasion.

Frequent use of hands and arms to handle objects, operate controls, and perform job tasks; ability to hear, speak, and observe effectively.

Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

May be required to operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties.
